Shrooms do not need suplemental feeding, at least Discosoma/Actinodiscus sp.
They absorb nutrients from the water column and rely in their simbiotic relationship with zooxanthelae, as well.
Can shrooms survive in low lighting conditions of about 2 watts per gallon? Does it depend upon their photosynthetic needs, that is will a green shroom require more light than a blue or brown one?
An employee at LFS tells me he is growing 5 different color morphs in a 45 gallon tank (24" tall) under only 60 watts NO lighting. Says they are slow but thriving. Even sells loose ones through the store. Havent seen it in person but I have no reason to doubt the guy.
