I know they can filter feed and grab stuff like Cyclopeez from the water but is there anything that you feed them to promote good health and fast growing?
hehehe fast growin, theres many thing out there to feed..mysis is one of the best besides oystereggs{i think}i target feed cyclo-peeze..im gunna try the stuff on the stick ,they say it sinks to the bottom an dosent float like the rest..ill let ya know how it goes..
I have a hard time feeding my rics. The damn fish, even if there not hungry, will try and take away the food from the mouths. And the mysis has to be landed directly on the mouth for the ric to take it in. I tried turnning of the powerheads ect to reduce flow, but some of the rics are at an angle so the food just falls to the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions?
I always turn off my pumps. Don't know what to do on the fish problem. I have a tail spot blenny, so he doesn't care about the mysis. And I have a blue assessor, which hides all the time, so he doesn't come out to take food from my corals.
You could also use the cut off top of a 2 or 3 liter soda bottle to place over the rics (if the bottles bug enough) and then target feed inside that...no fish or inverts will be able to get in and when the rics are done feeding just remove the bottle top.
