what to feed sea stars

I recently ordered some mushrooms from LiveAquaria.com. But, when the order arrived I didn't get the right stuff - instead I received 2 sea stars - a large bright blue one and a small burgandy red one. I called LiveAquaria and they said to just keep them - there's no way to send them back safely but now I don't know how to feed them. Does anyone know what to feed them and how often?

It sounds like they've stuck you with a couple of Linckia stars. They're a different genus than the one in the link, but the dietary information is the same. No one knows for sure what they eat, but they seem to need a lot of established LR surface to get it. Usually 100-150 lbs is the bare minimum, and that's assuming there is a large amount of open surface area.
