I have a well established tank. It's over 10 years old, but only 1 year in it's current location.
Inside I have plenty of live rock, tons of mushrooms and a rock anemone.
Fish are a Tomato Clown and a stripped green mandarin. I plan to add at most two more small peaceful fish, but have not decided or found anything to my liking.
I also have a Coral Banded shrimp and am planning adding a red serpent star or something similar to replace one that was killed by a mantis shrimp (the mantis has found a new home now). I have various snails also.
Also in the tank is a pencil and black urchin.
I plan on replacing a candy cane coral that the anemone killed when he took home a little to close.
I have an Eheim 2213 canister filter that is around 120 gph and a Biowheel 350 filtering the system. Also two small powerheads are in the tank, but to be honest I don't remember what gph they are.
Over head is a Coral life lunar 96 watt 10,000K and 96 watt True Actinic compact fluorescent lamp.
All of this is in a 55H glass tank.
The Clown has been in the tank for well over 5 years and he's always just hosted in the mushrooms.
The question I have is this:
I would like to add an Anemone to the tank for the clown to host in. Will he take to it after being without for so long? If so what would you recommend? I was thinking a Bulb Anemone, but am open to suggestions. I would like to get one that doesn't move around too much, needs medium flow and medium light.
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
