What to keep in check in sps tank

What are the most important things to keep in check so that sps corals grow and keep color? I am looking into starting a sps tank and need some help.

Nitrate, Phosphate, Calcium, Alk, Salinity, Magnesium... pretty much everything. Make sure you get test kits for phosphate/calcium/alk/mag, nitrate once you get it to below 2-5ppm its pretty stable unless youre overfeeding.

Stability is key, you are testing to make sure nothing fluctuates much, especially ALk.

If you want good color and no death keep N03 below 10 and keep P04 below .05, this is key. Next, Keep Mg over 1300, Ca over 400, stable alk, K+ 380-400.
