What to look for in buying used LR?

When handling LR should I use playtex like gloves , since I am afraid something might bite/sting ?

Stupid question: What are the odds that some critters can climb out of LR /tank and slither onto carpet?LOL...But yes has it happened?

With your budget friendly approach how long will it take for the base rock to be cured /live ?

About as long as it takes to cycle the tank, just add a couple of pounds of live rock. I live in KOP and work in Exton sometimes. PM me when its time and I will give you a cup of sand to seed with.

Since I am a newbie: How long would it take to cycle the tank? I thought you need fish to cycle , no? I work in malvern, wow we are close. What kind of tank setup is yours?

I would love to do budget friendly idea as above but will it take forvever to cure the base rock and base sand? Do lot of reefers do this?
