What to put in Fuge?

I just set up my sump/fuge. I've got a fuge that's about 6 gallons. I've got a 4-5 inch live sand bed. I've got a handful of macroalgea that my LFS gave me. (Can someone please idenitfy this stuff?)

What sort of snails, crabs, etc. should I put in my fuge? And is this macroalgea (whatever it is) good stuff?

I believe the common name is " Grape " macro.
If you are going to put macro algae in your sump I believe it is imperative to invest in several different species of algae.

A fellow reefer in our local club turned me onto this concept. After several months I can see amazing diffrences in the health of my tank.
If you do a search on RC you will find tons of info on different algaes and their benefits.

You may want to also consider throwing in some live rock rubble to create a pod pile as well as to get a little bit of extra filtration. I did not put any snails in there but the ultimately found there way in there anyway.

Anthony Caflo recommends one type of algae in a refug. I have had very good luck with chaeto. It does not go asexual like grape can. Run it on reverse lighting to help maintain PH.
