What Tunze for best flow?

Hi Roger,

Hoping you could help me out with my dilema of what pumps to go for and best placement for good effective flow around the central rock structure.

My tank is viewable from 3 sides and so I only have the back end to place the pumps. I was thinking of going with 2 6095 when they are relased here controlled by a 7096. My question is, will the pumps be able to provide adequate flow to the back wall side where the pumps are attached?

The tank will be a sps tank so flow is criticle. I have included a pic below to help you better understand my situation.

p.s. the skimmer in the pictures will be relocated to the sump.

Thanks.

My main concern is if the flow will hit the back end of the rock work. As the pumps protrude a little from when they are attched to the back, will this not create any dead spots?...or will the flow hit the front pane of glass then flow towards the back and create a circular motion of flow?

If you could give a clue as to how you think the flow would work would be very helpful.

Thanks.

I assume that tank is about 40cm or 24" across? The flow will bounce back and fill the tank if so.

The tank is 32" long by 22" wide by 30" tall. So the back wall the pumps will be on are 32" away from the opposite side where I think you are assuming they are 24".

A 6095 covers a roughly 3ft cube, I still think their will be plenty of bounce back from the front and sides to cover the tank.

Thank you for the help and advice Roger. Looking very forward to the arrival of the 6095's here in the UK.
