What type of coral is this

Ok so this is my first reef tank and when i went to the fish store i asked the guy to show me the easiest ones to take care of and he gave me this one he said it was a hairy mushroom but after looking at them online i dont see the similarities. http://s932.photobucket.com/albums/ad167/sample789/?action=view&current=photo.jpg oh and also the polyps arent opened for some reason the tentacles come out but the polyps dont open

It looks like a toadstool to me. A mushroom in it's own right.
