What type of snail is this?

I've had this snail in my tank for a while now. It was actually transferred into my 10 gallon from the LR I used from my 45 gallon tank. It has a small shell and have seen many small shells that are similar in my tank, mainly behind powerheads and other equipment that is partly in the water.

Is this a beneficial snail to my nano? What does it eat?

Mine can be seen out in the day. lol.....I can see him now. What do they eat? Herbivours? (I think that's how you spell it)

Hmmm... Not sure, but the snails that I have that were given to me as Stomatella's do not have the bumps on them like yours does. I can't tell you with certainty what kind this is, but if I were you I would look more in depth (on the web) as to the exact ID of this lil' guy. Personally I don't trust snails or nudibranchs that have bumps on them (keeping in mind the knowledge that many of the bumpy nudibranchs aren't reef-safe). Just my 2 cents.

Yeah the bumps are odd, maybe related to a stomatella or another species of a stomatella?

I did see some stomatella pics on the web and the shell looks the same but the bumps were the only difference.
