You wouldn't think tapetum? I've never seen tapetum up close but two things make me think not haddoni: 1) the size (4") and 2) well OK it's more that I can't really see the whole anemone so it's hard to make a good guess.

It's not mertensii, it's not gigantea, and I'm pretty sure not helianthus. If it is haddoni (which it could be) it's a very tiny one.

I would say haddoni. Just because it's small doesn't mean it isn't haddoni. Keep feeding it fish like that and it won't be small for long.

So you don't think tapetum at all? I've never seen tapetum in person but I thought it was basically just like haddoni, only smaller.

I agree that just because it's smaller doesn't make it automatically not a haddoni, but in turn, that doesn't mean it's not a tapetum either ... unless there are some other distinguising features we can use?

Nah, it doesn't really look like tapetums at all. I have a few and the coloration is very different (I know they can vary), and I don't think they get that large.

Something tells me it's going to look like your prototypical "saddleback carpet", that will be a muted green with the white stripes.

So it's just coloration and pattern that gives away a tapetum? I thought I had read they got as large as 4"-5" in some cases but .. well, Ok, I can sense I am defeated here. Haddoni, not tapetum.

You know what it is, all the tapetums I've seen are always multi-colored, and I don't know that they really get the larger carpet type of fold in them as well.

I think you are right though that there are maxi minis , but I just don't think it's one of those either.

Every three days I feed it half a silverside and I have had it for about three months, I thought it was haddoni but it won't get bigger.
I will get a better pic after exams and grad.
Thanks Super7
