Well...I went to the LFS closest to my home. Why??? I don't know. After my first visit, I knew that would not be purchasing there, but I needed a fix...I just wanted to drool over some fish and coral. I could blame it on Greg (Ah64av8tor)...I was at his place this morning swapping some sand and checking out his 150...it just got me Jonesing!!! Well...back to the LFS...I walked to the back to look at the fish, and saw a couple of small nice Vlamingi Tangs, my favorite Tang. And then it began...a dead fish, a Heniochus/Black and White Butterfly...whatever you call it...IT WAS DEAD!!! Now it could be just me, but it's Saturday afternoon, lot's of employees in house, and a dead fish in a retail display. I moved on down the aisle to try to quickly remove myself from the presence of that DEAD FISH, and threre it was, some kind of Goby...DEAD! I found my mouth starting to open so I could yell some kind of rude comments at the employees, but I resisted and looked back down at the DEAD FISH, and thought I was loosing my mind...were there TWO DEAD FISH in that tank, side by side, like lovers spooning on the couch watching TV!!! I must be freaking out...maybe I'm not seeing correctly due to elevated blood pressure, respiration, and pulse rate due to seeing the first and then the second DEAD FISH! So I blinked a couple of times, and there were still two DEAD FISH together in that tank. I must have looked like a psycho by that time, because there was an employee on the other side of the display looking right at me, with fear and trepidation. I took a deep breath, and reached down, and THUMPED on the front of the tank a couple of times. Now the two DEAD FISH were up against the front of the acrylic retail display, and when I say I THUMPED on it, I HIT IT HARD!!! Needless to say, the two DEAD FISH did not move. I moved on quickly, slowing enough to see a Naso Tang, with white stress spots, breathing like me if I had run 100 yards, and a Powder Blue Tang, flashing against a rock. As I sped up my pace, I noticed two other 4 to 5 inch fish huddled together in a corner. I didn't even slow down to see what they were. I was getting close to "Going Postal" (no offense to any U.S. Postal Service employees)...I had to get outside...and BREATH. What was I thinking???
