What wet pump for salt mixing barrels

I have these 75g barrels for mixing salt water.
I've already ruined wp40 powehead and couple of pumps including mag3, rio and a sicce2.

What should I do or use for mixing salt in these
Barrels?

When I mix:
I first fill up with rodi
Once filled, I put in adequate amount of salt and then start the pump in there.

After a day of running constant, I put it on timer for 1/2 hr run every 6 hrs, to give some circulation.
This salt water now is used for slow continuous auto water change. About 5 ml per min.

Use an external pump. I use a dart that's been running continuously for close to 12 years.

I wouldn't use a prop based pump. Also, make sure the pump is running while you are adding salt. I've used large mag drives and iwakis on smaller vats but there is something to be said about running a huge pump on a water vat. It mixes the salt clear in a few minutes.

+1. I'd go external as well as internal pumps won't hold up to the undissolved salt that is being dumped into the holding tanks. The upside to the external pump (aside from reliabilty) is that the same external pump can be used to transfer water from the RODI holding tank to the mixing tank as well as for mixing the new salt water. You just need to use a couple ball valves to redirect the pump. In my case, I'm using a 20 year old Little Giant 4MDQ on my mixing station.

I've been using a Mag 9.5 for years in a 45 gallon Brute container with no problems. Just turn the pump on first and then add the salt. I keep it running until I complete the water change.

+1 on the external pump.

My internal would never last very long. Switched out to a panworld external, been running 24/7/365 for the last 3 years so far with 0 issue.
