There are crabs, other species of fish (especially when young), and several different species of shrimp that associate with anemones. There are some cucumbers that hang out under anemones. There is no set number of critters that can live with an anemone. It's dependant on the size, and species of anemone, and the species that's living with it.
Depending on the anemone - Porcelain crabs, sexy shrimp, some periclimenes shrimp. In some cases, domino damsels.
How many animals an anemone can host depends on the size of the anemone and the temperament of its inhabitants - a mature pair of clowns may drive other creatures out of their anemone, but a smaller/more docile pair of clowns may share space with a few crabs or shrimp.
I have occ mated pair Clownfish in my 8 gal, but I don't want to put anenome in there. I really like the anenome shrimp. The reason I ask is because my LFS has a huge anenome for sale, and since I'm a good customer they will give me 50% off, and 10 gal of water from the anenome 15 gal tank. I only have a 10 gal at home that's available.
