What will eat Cheato?

I just got some of this stuff of a local RC member and i am just curious about what eats this stuff, in the event it sneaks into my display.

In the event it sneaks into your display, reach in and pick it up. It's not like caulerpa that will go sexual and grow in every nook and cranny in your tank. It's free floating and doesn't really attach per say unless it just happens to get caught on something or grow into a hole.

No real worries.

An to answer your question, I know some feed it to their tangs, but success rate varies there.

I have a Purple Pin Cushion Urchin that ate a huge ball of cheto I got from an RC member in less than two weeks. He's in the sump; likes to clean off the coralline I so treasure on the rocks.

my foxface loves it.

foxfaces are great for the tank---not very aggressive and will eat all forms of algae that are there

the chaeto grows in a ball. As the density of the ball increases if floats lower in the refugium and you will have to worry less about it getting in the main tank.

1+, I also take a bunch out and use it as one of those bath sponge thingies. They work wonders at scrubbing pots and pans, cuts right through greese. Ever had caked on salt creap, now you have an answer to all your problems!

I have a guerrilla crab who loves this stuff.
