I'm thinking of making a mixed 10 gallon hooked up to a 55 reef+sump for stability. It would probably house a small goby, and then also a banggai cardinalfish/fishes for when the male is brooding eggs. So something like a mixed refugium? But pretty because it will be on display? I'm thinking maybe nutrient export/import as the 55 has a couple of herbivores that might benefit from fresh algae. I really like the look of Caulerpa prolifera, as well as C. paspaloides. I also like Hypnea pannosa and definitely want Gracilaria...Is this too much algae species in the tank? Can anybody comment on how fast the algae species grow and whether they'd be good for nutrient export?
