what wrong with my 9010 skimmer

hi Roger,,,my name is khoivo ,,i send a 9010 skimmer to you other day and get it back a week after that (2month ago or so),,you said that i work fine when u try it but from the day i got it back until now its still doesnt' raise any foam,,i thought give it a few week to see what happen but 2month now the foam doesn't past through the neck,,i don't know what is wrong,,bought it brand new and never work from the first day,,,
my tank is 5month olds now with 8fishes in it ,now down to 5fishes i didn't kknow what went wrong to make the fish died
i have 90g with 4"live sand 110lr,,water tested good so far,,
what should i do now,,i am very sad when spending over 325dlrs for a unit like that ,,i dont' really want to send it to you so u can fix it because it will cost me again to ship it ,unless replace new one,,anyway let me know what should i do here,,i dont' want the rest of my fish going to the hell,,,thanks
ohh i have my skimmer is sump with 5" deep of water

Sorry to hear of your loss, please private message or call Roger to resolve this issue as I am sure Roger thought your issue with the skimmer was resolved after he checked tested and returned the skimmer.

I don't know what else I can do, I tested the skimmer and sent the photos. The skimmer worked perfectly in my aquarium, it removed 100ml of skimmate overnight. I returned it to you assembled and tuned exactly as I had used it. I don't think a new skimmer will solve this as absolutely nothing was wrong with your skimmer. I think something is wrong with the assembly or the water chemistry that is causing this problem.

hi Roger,,i don't know what else should i do,,but should i try in tank instead in sump?? just to see if it work? but my tank is acrylic with flange on top ,,i don't know the skimmer can hang on the tank or not,,
should i take a picture of the tanks and sump to see what u all thinking?? that all i can think of unless u may have some other idea,,,but i really want to skimmer to work ,,thanks

with all that fishes in the tank the skmmer should make some foam right??

On a tank set up that long with fish that are being fed, it should skim. The tank I used to test it has only a pair of clowfish and some soft corals and live rock and a Ritteri anemone and it is 58 gallons. I suspect one of two things. Either the specific gravity is low, skimmers make finer bubbles and more of them in a higher sg 1.023 is a good number. If this is not the cause I think the bottom plate may not be on all the way or may be backwards, one side has an angle cut and this should be the front and it should be on all the way, if it is open a little at the back water drains from the bottom. Does water exit from the pipe on the skimmer? A photo of the skimmer installed may help.
