I recently just purchased a used tank from this forum

and When i got home and cleaned it it turned out to be

way more scratched than I imagined/understood it was.

its a reef ready tank that someone put a overflow in

they did a good job on the overflow but the tank is scratched

on the inside on the front and sides and I assume the back too

how much do you guys think I would get for this if i tried to sell it?

i was thinking of listing it on craigs list but i dont know what to

price it at!?! it is a oceanic brand tank, drilled in the middle.

58 gallon show and i would be listing the tank only.

I have some pics at check them out and tell me what yah think

in the folder 58 gallon

The scratch shown in your photos is pretty serious. It would work as a fuge or breeding tank. Personally I would not pay over $1 a gallon for a used tank of that size. With those scratches I think I might not even pay that.

Does the stand come with it?

keepin the stand and hood

keepin the stand and hood

nah i was going to keep the stand .. if i dont keep that then

buying the tank setup was a complete waste of time/money

alteast the stand is decent and the hood is decent, but one of

the pumps was messed up 1 out of the 2 that were in there

works..

i guess that i paid $330.00 for a stand , hood ,co2 tank,

fixable sump, and a working mag7 pump wasnt all that bad of

a deal ... i just should of looked it over more carefully.

I was really surpised when I cleaned it that they were there.

the guy stated he only had it setup for 3 months in his ad.

I guess it might make a decent sick tank for

someone as it does hold water .. so around a dollar a gallon

give or take a little is where i should start,, that sounds like a

good idea, ill probably list it on craigslist sometime next week

thanks
matt

Thats a bummer, since glass is so hard can you not buff it out like on an acrylic tank? If I had a use for it, I'd offer you something for it but the 58 I already have is killing my wallet! lol

i found a use

i found a use

im gonna try and do the concrete tank idea with this one and

that way most of all the sratches would be hidden anyways

the front view is still good .. i like the way the other guys tank

turned out on here and it doest really look too difficult

This is kinda off subject but do you ever post on www.ws6zxr.com? Looking at your photo album I swear I have seen pics of your car before.

yeah i used to... im getting back into my fish hobby again

i still have my turbo camaro though.

It's a small world. I just saw the pic of your car as your avatar over on okgmp.com. I'm Radcat on both of those boards as well.

I hope to get a turbo again someday. I use to have one on my v6 firebird but sold the engine and turbo and swapped in a LS1.

i sold it in less than 12 hours

i still think i wanna try a cement tank though

Hmmm...... I wonder what is a bigger money pit? A boat or my tank? As for as cars go I am looking for a 66-69 Coupe Deville in black. I want to pimp it out! Or maybe a 70's stingray.
