What's better; small bristleworms and pods to clean a tank or a wrasse to eat them?

Hey guys!

I've been thinking for a while about getting a McCosker's wrasse since I saw it a few months ago at my LFS. It's always been tempting because I have a decent (not crazy) amount of bristleworms in my tank that I know they could take care of. This had me thinking; is it better to not get the fish, cutting back on the waste that it would produce as well as keeping more scavengers in the tank to take up the uneaten food, or would it be better to get the fish to take care of the worms and other little guys, cutting back on the waste that they produce as well as their bodies produce when they eventually die off? Also, would the bristleworms being there/not being there have any positive benefit to the corals or other inhabitants? Just some ideas! I currently have a sapphire damsel, tomato clown, and yellow watchmen goby in my 40b (without a protein skimmer, but looking to add a sump soon) so I really want to consider anything toward the fish count. Thanks for reading!

Flasher wrasses and fairy wrasses don't typically pick at the rocks or sand like other wrasses would, so the McCosker's wouldn't affect the bristleworm population very much.
