what's bleeched coral or clam?

i lost another thread on this issue. i was checking to find out why corals and clams get bleeched and how to make sure they don't. thaks.

well im not really sure but i dont think clams "bleach", but corals will bleach for many reasons including high water temp, wide water temp swing, low or high calcium, too much or not enough light, water quality and many other reasons. the biggest thing is water quality, water stability, and lighting.

They would bleach/etc for a variety of reasons.

Water quality, overlighting, temp/parameter swings, too hot ... any number of reasons.
