Whats growing on my clam?

What's growing on my clam? It's spreading and very difficult to pull off. I'm assuming a macro algae but can't ID it.

yes that is a macro, manual removal is the only way to get it off. Personally I would leave it until it starts to bother the clam. Then pruin it back with some fragging shears.
