hello all !

My tank in more than a year old, so its quite stablished. All params are in range, but this zoas (and only this ones) are presenting a poor apperance. No other coral is showing signs of anything.

I dont know what it could be, if its part of its cycle, reproduction maybe...

Please help me out.

When the main lights go out. Look for really tiny nudibranchs. Usually bright and colorful. You might have a small infestation.. You can google what they look like so you know what to look for.

What you have for fish in your tank?
Could it be that one is munching when you're not looking?
Also, what do you have for lighting? It COULD be too strong.
How's your flow? Are your powerheads free of obstructions??

I'm posting a better picture with the camera. I'm starting to suspect that's in fact pox.

I already have furan 2, can anyone confirm?

Just googling "zoa pox" brings up like 100 photos that look just like yours, with the same white dots. Safe bet that that's what's going on here.

Furan 2 did work for me. It will likely take several treatments. It can spread really fast. Most likely any other zoas or palys in the tank are also infected. Keep a very close eye on them. Also, I wouldnt worry about the astrena at the moment. What you have going on doesn't at all look like astrena problems

hi all. After 2 full rounds of furan 2 treatment I want to confirm that the pox is gone. As you may see many polyps took a hit.

Please let me know. The rock is in a QT tank along with other corals (not zoas).

I got fungus on mine. After looking online, I risked 100% hydrogen peroxide dip for 1 minute, then into iodine dip, I use seachem coral dip.

mine are slowly opening up again after 2 days, don't see anymore white stuff on it

you did a treatment already, needs time to recover hopefully

I think will do peroxide dip for new zoas from now on, has its risks too
