What's in my bag?

Reef Bass asked me to explain how I drag my gear over hell and back. It may come as a surprise but when it comes to my gear bag, I'm pretty old school. I've got 3 backpacks style cases in the closet but I just prefer the old Domke. I call it the "neutron star" because it's just a very dense brick when fully packed.

Here's a teaser:

Interesting choice of carrier. So what, you hang that on one shoulder whilst in route to your destination?

Or is that a belt cinch and you are the king of fanny packs? ;)

As much as I appreciate your responding to my query, crack that puppy open and let's see what's inside! (please)

Nice staging with the tank in the background, btw.

Edit, you posted something but the image link seems nonfunctional currently.

It's old school but I really like it. It's waxed canvas so it's very waterproof. When I travel I usually have a backpack with my Mac and cords and such. Two backpacks doesn't work for me. Plus I can pack an amazing amount of gear in a very small package. Normally a small package isn't a good thing. This is an exception.

Doug can you sling that over your back or is just a one shoulder deal?

We have very similar gear but I rarely would take all that for one outing. Sometimes I'm biking so I need a true backpack. Though if i take the F2.8 300mm, the large Gitzo and the BH-55 I can get up over 25 pounds in a hurry!

I can do across the body with the strap and on my back. I don't generally change the bag contents depending on where I'm going. It's all or nothing.
