What's In Your LTA

Black Clarkii clowns.

Man I wish my LTA had the long thin tentacles. Mine has always had the short stubbys.

Anyways, my Bengaii Cardinal seems to be hosted by mine.

silvergryphon, did it have long tentacles when you bought it? maybe its not a long tentacle.

Sugar Magnolia, are those True perculas or false?

No it didn't, but I figured it was from shipping.

I'm pretty sure it is an LTA, has red foot with white dots over the underside of the disc

When I first got it.

After it was move into my DT.

Then tentacles since that last picture have thinned out a little, but not a whole lot. Currently it is crammed down into the corner of the rock just to the right of the picture. Opens up fairly wide, hasn't moved from that spot. I'll try to get a more updated picture tonight.

It looks like a long tentacle, how long have you had it and what type on light is on it? Have you feed it? Is it sticky?

I hope my ocellaris likes mine Rutrag, I also have a RBTA that has been in the tank for 2 maybe 3 months the ocellaris are not interested in anything so far. I just put the LTA in a couple of days ago. Sorry about your LTA, that just sucks, but a least you know what your clowns like.

BayouCorals, I had a gold stripe maroon once in a LTA, she used to bite me to death when I worked in the tank, my arms would be bleeding when I was done and to many bites to count.

I have under a Photon48, I feed twice a week, and I've had it for about 3 months now. Feels sticky when I touch the tentacles.

Here is a picture from today.

I have had a couple of pics sent, one by coraladdiction and one by criticalencore. I am not able to open the files, my computer is very old, so maybe I dont have something on it I need to get the pics. I would really like to see the pictures

silvergryphon, it looks more colorfull, maybe your lights are set different. I would only feed it once a week at the most, I feed mine about every 2 weeks. I have led lights and some times things have a hard time adjusting to it, it depends on what type of light it was kept under before, I have AI sol led lighting and have found things do better when the lighting is cut about in half, my sps corals are more colorful, sps coral polyps are out more and my nems are out more and also more colorfull. I have the bottom of the lights 7 inches above my 120 gallon tank. Sometimes if things dont like the light they will draw away from it making them appear short and stubby, even coral growth. Or it could just be the nem!

I've been tinkering with light settings while taking pictures. Overall color hasn't changed any. I've not been worried about it, just wish they were longer and thinner like you normally see LTAs with.
