Whats killing my Zoa?

I have a regular nothing special green zoo that has been growing nicely for the last 6 months and was starting to form a big clump. In the last two weeks there has been a lot of recession and closing of the polyps from one side inwards (closing turning white and shrinking away)

I haven't added anything new to the aquarium so no new bests in there. I suspect a bug of some sort but on close examination I cant see anything.

Very hard, almost impossible to know by that blue picture!!!

But... if you can remove it from the tank and if it is smelling rot:

I would remove it from the tank, cut off the damaged white part scraping the rock where the white is and/or using an old tooth brush, and dip it in Lugol's solution. Use that tooth brush only for polyps after that!!!!!!! You could add like 5 drops of Lugo's to let's say 10 oz of fresh water and dip it in for 3 to 5 minutes max.

If you can't dip it because it is attached to the rock, at least try to let the solution with the Lugo's run over it after scraping off that stuff.

Main thing it to remove all that white crap from the rock and anything white touching the rest of that zoa colony. Act fast!

Don't forget to be careful and use gloves, goggles and have your mouth shut while doing it!!! Clean up very well after and have the kids, adults and pets away from the site!!!

X2 with what Grandis said. Be sure to make the iodine dip fairly weak as it can be harsh.
In addition you may want to frag off just a couple polyps from the healthiest area and move it away from there as a backup to grow out the colony again if everything goes south.
