What's on my Clown Goby?

Hey guys, can someone jump over to the fish disease page and take a look at my post about my clown goby? I bought it just the other day and he developed these raised lumps that are the same color as him and I'm having a hard time Identifying it. I'm thinking it may be cauliflower disease but I've never experienced it before so I'm not positive. I did buy him from Petco so it very well could be just a bad case of ich but like I said I'm not too sure. If you go to my post on the other page I have pictures to help ID. I'm posting on here because my original post has been up for a couple days now with a hundred views but I haven't got a response. Thanks guys! :)

Well there's your first mistake fish and petco don't mix well

Everything petco sells is a time bomb I qt fish from petco when I rarely get them from them for twice the normal time just to be extra sure

Nothing wrong with buying fish from petco as long as you watch the fish, qt, and make sure it's healthy. Ive bought 3 fish from them and all are still alive 6 years later. Ich is treatable.

I agree, with proper QT protocols there is nothing wrong with petco. Most LFS's run their tanks the same as petco, the only difference is SOME lfs's actually care about what their selling you so they take better care of their systems.

I have 3 fish from petco and some live rock. I properly QT'ed these fish and have not had a single issue with them or the live rock.

I think most people have issues with petco because of them being a "big box" store and not particularly caring what they sell you(they just want to make a sale), but that can be said from any big box store, or shotty LFS. I purchase 90% of my dry goods from petco, its only a 1/2 drive rather then 2 1/2 to the LFS. I have noticed at my local petco who has a huge saltwater section(including decent frag tank), since they bought out dr. foster and smith, they seem to take better care of the aquarium section. Not sure if this is because of them actually learning something from DFS, or they hired someone new who knows what they are doing?

I have bought most of my fish from petco, I always put them in QT immediately and before I buy I observe the fish I'm interested in for quite a while and inspect it and see if it eats. This time they only had 2 clown gobies. It's the not a fish they get in regularly and both had the same issue. I just decided to take the healthier looking of the 2 and got it for half price. So I'm up for the challenge, whatever it may be. I feel bad for a lot of the fish there because it seems petco has a high mortality rate. They bring a lot of larger more sensitive fish and put them in this tiny little tank where the fish never has a chance. I always see tangs and butterflies come in on their shipment and it's a matter of days to a week before I go in again and the fish is dead. Really sad.

I just don't think they should sell saltwater fish nationwide some of the stores are so neglected it should be the exception for salt water sales not the norm

I bought a few things from petco and I qt and treat those fish almost twice as long As normal

Treatable?
So say one purchases a fish .. had ich at some point. Was treated prior. And in qt shows no signs goes into DT. N gets stressed ich sjows up. Back to QT. The tank mates are infected ?
Treated....not cured?
Treat treat treat...live with it?...

Well in case anyone is curious the clown goby seems to be improving. He's been in QT with copper for 2 days now and the spots are going away! :)
