Did it eat something? Should I pop it?

Being that my Frogspawn almost tripled in size without ever producing a bubble like that, I'm not so sure if that's an indication it's splitting or not. It could be a different form of reproduction though.

If it is splitting, it would be nice if somebody could go into detail on how this process works. I also find it kind of odd that the article below was written, but the author has no idea what the bubble in the picture means.

I have had this happen to both a hammer and a frogspawn....both were splitting. The bubble stayed there until the mouth was completely split and healed. I've had those same corals split without a bubble also. I would assume that something odd happens in the split that causes the coral to protect itself sometimes. JMO

Splitting sounds great. I've had hammers and torches but don't believe I've seen this.

I'm pretty embarrassed by the hair algae. It's just new tank growing pains :)

What is it that you haven't seen? That looks like a frogspawn, hey the algae happens to all new tanks, you can look forward to Cyano next :uzi:

I was referring to the big bubble in the first picture. The bubble has pretty much gone away in this picture. I just realized I didn't explain myself very well :)

Oh, the diatoms are already out in full force.
