Whats the best aquarium controller

There are several reasons. 1st I'd like to better control my calcium reactor. I'm always having to adjust the co2 flow. 2nd I'd like better control over my temp and don't currently have a temp controller. 3rd, I like the fact that I can get email alerts from some of the models when something goes out of spec. Finally, I like that things should look cleaner and there is an internet option for when I'm on vacation.

Overall I'm hoping it gives me better control over my tank parameters and will enable me to do a little less work each day.

sounds cool..let us know which one you're getting!
about the temp...isnt the chiller + fans keeping up with the cooling?

Thanks for the link, it should be helpful.

Golan, yes the chiller and fans are more than sufficient. I'd prefer the fans weren't running all of the time and with the controller they could be layered, coming on at different temps. The chiller comes on but there is a 2 degree change in temp during the day. Probably not a big deal, but my heaters aren't very reliable so I'd like to ensure the low temp. Ultimately I'd like to keep the temp to withing 1 degree.

Now if I could only win the lottery to help pay for this stuff!!

i see...i got a similiar concern with temp as well...at times it looks like the heater and the chiller are "fighting" - what i will do this weekend is put the heater on a timer so that it does not turn on at all until 1 hour after the lights turn off - i think that will be a big help.
