see my corals are quite use to me running attentic first and then day. I am very very lucky that they are accepting MH after being under T5 for sooo long. and not having attentic
Yep. Here is a vid of my tank... Pretty close in color but in person you would have to imagine a hint more purple in the spectrum. The vid is 30mb + just so you know *LOL*
Like I said, the best way to describe a phoenix "makes the tank look like a bright purple / white ice cube"
You want a 14K current usa bulb..? I have a new one sitting in a package right here. Was given as a spare from current as they gave me two totally different spectrum bulbs in my sunpods. I have no use for it.
I am sorry I am bing so picky guys. but the last time I had a halide I burnt my corals pretty bad. baja ended up with my 250 MH. it had a phoenix bulb in it. now I am abit afraid of MH.
I put my 150w sunpod on my tank from an 80w orbit. Never had an issue and I just stuck it on and let it run. But have heard the horror stories.
One thing I do different than everyone, I put a peice of glass the width of the tank directly under the mh. It sits between the sunpods mounting legs. acts as a heatsheild from the surface of the water and it may also mellow out the output of the MH.
my tank is my baby. you know. and I already flipped out when I had to break down my big tank. i cried. I never cry. so you know how that goes. I can't see me not ever having a tank. and my new tank I really like. I picked out everything all to my specs. making sure everything fits and looks good ect. I do need some more small pieces of rock. I am concidering going all kalani. I really like the way that rock looks. But for now I am slowly moving corals over to it and when one has issues with my new tank. I move it back to the nano. and so on. I got some monti and they are doing really good. I am real happy with the progress. I was going to get some T5s and suppliment but desided to try a new bulb unstead. kinda scared of MH due to past experiances. so I am taking it slow. and learning as I go more and more. the bulb is going to be my desiding factor on how things in my tank grow and if they are getting to much light ect.
