Whats the best coral dip

whatever dip im using at the moment. Revive.
my tank got infected with red bugs from unprotected frag swaps before i knew what red bugs and aefw were. I would never put undipped corals in my tank even if you gave me a hundred dollars or a free ssc colony

Tropic Marin is the best at getting the though pest like AEFW. The only down fall is that it is really harsh on sensitive acros.

Coral Revieve works but it needs to be used in a high dose in order to get AEFW off of the acros.

Coral Rx is what I have been using the past 6 months. Works great but is a little pricey.

Plus 1 to what SPS empire said.

TMPCC is by far the strongest (harshest)

I like using Revive at 2x the recomended strength. You really have to be careful with any acro you;re dipping for the first time as some HATE it!

CoralRx cost 2 x and sometimes I wonder of it's working! If I dose it at 2x the strength it costs 4x$$$!!!

Best dip for incomming corals is a QT!

I currently have and use all three tmpcc, coral rx, and revive. I think revive is better on the corals but as stated above you have to use it double stregnth, however I have had good success bringing back zoas from the dead for other people by dipping in revive and keeping them for a bit in my system. I also use Flat worm exit in my "new" coral dipping regimin. Just my 2 cents

I've currently been running a series of dips using Revive for AEFW on my acros (pulled all the acros, put them in QT and am doing weekly dips) and using the recommended dosage it knocks the right off in a minute or two.

Lugol's soln @ 40 drops per gallon. Divide as necessary. Kills just about everything - other than the coral. I dip for ~ 10 mins in conjunction with basting.

I have to disagree with the Tropic Marin being the best. I did an experiment between it and Revive in a controlled amount of water and medicine and the Revive caused the AEFW to show distress within 1 minute of being in the solution and were dead within 5 minutes. With the TMPCC there was no distress showed by the AEFW even after 15 minutes!! The only drawback to Revive that I have found is it will kill Echinata's.
