What's the best hob protein skimmer

I have a red sea prizm that I'm going to start my next tank with but I've heard so many bad reviews on them...it's only going to be a 30 gallon so at least it start the tank for a month or 2...will be looking to upgrade to the best hob skimmer...majority wins

My reef octopus BH-1000 really pulls out some nasty stuff a little noisy and a few bubbles.

I've heard alot of good things about reef octopus skimmers.

YEA I'M GOING FOR REEF OCTOPUS BH90on my 40breeder. LIKE THE CONE BODY AND THE FACT THAT THE COLLECTION CUP HAS THE DRAIN ALREADY PLUGGED IN IF YOU WANT TO DRAIN TOO LIKE A GALLON BOLT OUR SOMETHING.

I sold my bh90 to a guy in the south bay it was a great skimmer for a smaller tank. He's actually selling it now I think he set up a sump so he doesn't need it anymore. Last I saw he was asking $90 for it..Let me know if you want his contact info I think it's on sf bay area rc and cl. It's still young I got it December of 2012

I wouldn't even waste your time with the prism skimmer I had one like 10 years ago and they didn't work even then =)..

Yea that's what I was told about the prizms...it was given to me by a friend that no longer has his sw tank running...I'm going to have to pass on the contact info...I'm not ready yet...The tank is going to be set up the first week of March sometime and I'll probably let it run for a couple months before I put anything in it...but I definitely appreciate the help
