I have 3 bi-color anthias as well as my many others. I feed 4x daily with pellets (3 types and sizes) using autofeeder and once daily mysis shrimp. Things doing well. I can tell you by watching that no pellets seem to hit the floor of the tank as it is a feeding frenzy when it dumps (they seem to know what time it's going to feed!).

My fish also know what time the feeder goes off. About 30 minutes before it goes off they start to crowd around it like clockwork.

While they may not be a "shoaling" fish, per say, firefish tend to stick together in groups. The purple firefish are stunning in my opinion and will live happily right along side each other.
