Whats the deepest tank you can go with 1/2 glass?

I'd like to go with a 96 x 48 x 30 in low iron glass. The dealer I've been looking at can only do low iron glass in 1/2. Hence my question... Can you do a 30 inch deep tank in 1/2 glass.

my 120x36x30 is1/2" on the sides and 3/4 bottom

My 390 is 96x31x30. 3/4" on the bottom and 1/2" on the sides.

i would think its a big risk! my 96x36x28 is made with 3/4" all over

i2ik I noticed that your tank doesn't have any type of cross braces! I'll bet that's the reason for the 3/4 all the way around.

mflamb,nyvp do your tanks have cross braces?

Anybody else with big tanks care to chime in here?

Mine has 2 cross braces and is fully eurobraced top and bottom.

when I did the calculations for my 30" tank it came out that I needed at least .7" so I went with 3/4

yes I have full euro brace. look 3/4 of the way down on the page
