What's the easiest way to siphon detrius from a low tank?

As the title states; what is the easiest way to siphon built up detritus from a tank that is near ground level? I have a 125 gal acrylic sump that is 24" high but is under my DT and approximately 4" off the floor. I have been using a tube siphon which is a PIA......I want to use something that is fast and efficient and won't get easily clogged.

Frank, I used a bucket vacuum from Home Depot and reduced the intake down to quarter inch RO tubing. It worked great.

acrylic? drain it ,drill it and put a drain valve in it.
other wise a maxi-jet pump

This tank is my main sump.....it is connected to the return pump with a 2" ball valve....so I can drain it if I want....but that still would leave the detritus on the bottom. I just want to clean that junk out every once in a while because it builds up.

+1 to sucking hard.
Or depending on the amount of detritus, you can use a large turkey baster.

Done with sucking hard.....a turkey baster would take too long. I'm going with the wet/dry vac....but would like to step it down. I think the hose is 1"? Would like to step it down a notch....
