whats the flow rate?

hey guys i just bought a used 6025 for my 30g setup and it has the little piece of plastic ground out on the inside of the housing. and i was wondering if anyone knew what the exact flow rate was after this mod? i know the initial rate was 660gph. thanks for the help.

Could be around 1200 gph, maybe less.

It depends how much was cut out, but the 6025 actually does about 720 gph and I would assume the maximum possible is about 1100.

so i guess the flow is about 1100gph. wow. i was planning on putting another one in the tank. now i wonder if that might be to much flow for my little glass box. i do plan on keeping sps and it is 24x18x18. should i leave it as is or add the other one?

I would try it and see, I would likely use 2 but alternate them with a timer.

as posted earlier i want to give this a try but i have another question. sometimes when i restart my pump it starts in reverse and makes a mess in my tank. if i am to use a timer with a constant on/off deal, how would i prevent this from happening?
