What's the most effective way to get rid of shrooms????

I know this may not be the best topic around here as I know you all LOVE shrooms but I really want to go a different route with my tank and want to know how I can get rid of mine without having to replace my rock?

I have tried cutting them off and placing a bit of epoxy where the mushroom was only to have them come back with a vengeance.

I have heard people say burn them off but not sure how you would do this. Would aptasia X work on them?

I have used a high power laser with great success, and yes I am serious. I sold mint a while back and regret it.

Not really sure how I would even get my hands on any laser other than a pointer. Any other way?

They sell them online for a out $75-100 for the 1000mw type. I got mine off of craigslist, pricey but you can zap even the tiniest pest out without disturbing the tank. I had a BB gun laser attached so I knew exactly where the beam would go as to not burn wanted corals. Looked ridiculous but it is fun and very effective.

a good shot of kalk paste should do the trick. treat them just like a pest anenome

Take the affected rock out of the water, grab a long-stem propane lighter, burn the "pest" off the rock, clean/wipe off the spot, put the rock back in the water.

Shrooms are so expensive at my lfs a single one for $60 I might try and grow and frag some and sell for a nice little profit

Great news, found that if you scrub them with a tooth brush they become detached then you could just scoop them out
