What's the possibility of an oddity?

I have a female black and white occelaris, and a male occelaris with some missbarring.

Is there any chance of an oddity when these two mate?

Are the chances increased?

Is there only one way to find out?

Thanks.

Why wouldn't they mate? They are the same species.

I dont think that was the question.
He was asking if there was an increased chance of getting mis-bar offspring from a misbar parent.
I'd say Yes... Just my opinin though.

I read somewhere that Black Ocellaris croos with Orange Ocellaris will give dirty orange color, really ugly. I don't think you want to do this cross. If you do, just pick a few to see what they look like before trying to bring a full brood to adult.

If they look like juvi black oscellaris that would be cool. Don't know what a dirty orange looks like though. But if my Black Oscellaris keeps the colors it has now I think it would look great.

i like the "tangerine" ocellaris, they are a "dirty" type of color usually brownish without the black in the fins like juvie black oc's.

ocellaris and maroons are more likely to have misbarring regardless to parentage you might have an increase chance though since one parent is mis-barred.

Thanks for all the comments/info. They just paired up 4-5 months ago so I'll have awhile to wait until and if they ever breed.
