What's the wisest way to frag a toadstool?

Recently I purchased quite a large toadstool from a fellow reefer. It's about 6 inches across, doing very well in my tank.
I'm supposed to put it in the school aquarium but my mother and I both want to keep it. Should I just cut out a slice pie style or straight in half?
I've heard some different stuff but I want to know what y'all think. You've never steered me wrong before.

You can cut it up like a sushi master using a Ginsu knife....actually use a sharp un-serrated edge preferably or a scalpel, Ir really doesn't matter where you cut leathers, or how big or small the piece is, the hardest part is getting them to re-attach, use two piece of rubble and sandwich it between them allowing for a portion to protrude, rubber band the rock to keep it from going anywhere and let it be for a week or two and it will heal and you have clones/frags.

The new babies attach fast but that chunk you took out of the big one does not grow back in fast. I have read to get around this people will cut the outer edges like a donut and than make 6 or 7 1 inch babies. I wasnt going to frag mine again because of the ugly missing section that I now got to look at.lol but after a long time it took care of itself and started budding and actual did it like the donut idea and I now have 5 babies.

Mine fragged itself the other day and found a hole in a rock. If only everything was this easy.
