What's this Acro called?

I've a frag that looks similar, and i've always been thinking that it was bleached or pale, but looks like this large colony is just a bigger version of what I have.. and maybe whatever it is isn't bleached, but that's its natural color?

Looks like a A.Valida to me. They usually develop a deep purple tip with a brown body.

cool. thanks for the replies.. hopefully I can have a colony like this in some distant future.. lol. the purple tips are not as prominent on mine yet, most of it is that pasty off white color but the polyps are a vivid electric green.. it's doing more horizontal creep growing over the last year rather than growing vertically.. hopefully that will change soonish.

I'd say a. secale because of the thickness of the branches and the overall growth pattern.

yap, a very bleached Acropora secale, should be purple, with fluorescent green polyps.


mine doesnt even look as good as it should.
