What's this purple thing on my colonly of Red Hornets?

See the closed polyp? The purple stuff on it.

I noticed something on it yesterday and I picked it up let the waterflow knock it off and it's back today.

Please advise!

Should I dip it? I know spaghetti worms can annoy it, but they are all over my tank.

Is it just red slime (cyano)? Whatever it is, that is a nice colony and the polyp with two mouths looks really cool!

It looks like some sort of algae to me. That double mouth polyp is amazing. I bet that would sell for a nice chunk

what dip did u use to get rid of the red slime? i have a few frags that is getting covered by it.. i diped them in seachems reef dip coral disinfectant for about 10 mins today. just curious what you used.
