Posting for a friend. This looks like a sponge attached to the nem? It looks like something hosting on it? I ask if he tried to remove it...the nem retracts. Maybe an injury, cyst? He has sponge in his tank any help on this...thanks!

It looks like the anemone got a cut and that is its inside coming out of the cut

Yes. Looks like mesenterial filaments -- not a good sign.

Ripped foot with a LTA is usually a death sentence. They're one of the few nems that can't handle injury well.
