What's wong with it?

No . . . he's the only fish in there . . . though he did leave his cave earlier than usual. I'm starting to suspect something more sinister

I'm thinking that one of those darn bristle worms disturbed him while he was sleeping in his cave. Which is why he woke up so early and why he's sleeping now

Always enjoy your humor?

I was serious..
Looks like manic depression borderline personality disorder that may turn to full blown schizophrenia with suicidal tendencies and possibly extensive bouts of rage..
Or its just gas... Pray for bubbles....

Nope...go ahead with the ecstasy.

Um.... We are talking professional medical diagnosis here.. Its MDMA... Ecstacy is what the kids do at raves.. :D

Queue my "infraction" for mentioning that stuff here in this family environment.. :(

Update: he's swimming around again, his scales are back to normal. But he's not eating as "fast" yet he's eating bigger pieces of food now. Before He'd only eat tiny particles now he's going for the big pieces, he was also swimming near the sand bed erratically yesterday immediately after waking up (close enough to kick up sand) but all with out touching anything. What does this mean?

Try doing a small partial water change...maybe something inadvertently got in the water and it's having an effect on him.

My chromis is the oldest fish in the tank and has decided he doesn't want to live in the rocks like everyone else. He hovers alternatively around the powerhead and the food dish. At first I thought he was checking out (dying) but it's been months now. Chromis are related to clownfish, as I understand, and we all know how weird THEY are.
