What's wrong? Fish going blind?

Well I brought home a triggerfish to replace one I lost about a year ago an his personality is totally different from my old one. He's a lot more of a bully. At the pet store he was kept in a tank with a few very small yellow tangs and was in there for a month before I bought him. I got him home and he immediately started to pick on my sailfin. I've had him for about three weeks and my sailfin is looking very bad. His eye is all cloudy like he is blind and I tried researching it yesterday but couldn't find much info so I did a quick water change. Now today my Korean angel has a cloudy eye too.

Help!!!
I'm planning on getting rid of these guys but I want them to be healthy. What's wrong with my tank?? It's been setup for years and need a problem!

Cloudy eyes could mean a number of things, but it is a pretty good indicator of flukes. Its likely that you introduced flukes into your tank with the introduction of the triggerfish.

To start off, I would treat with prazipro and go from there.
I would do a minimum of 2 treatments of prazipro, each treatment lasting 5-7 days. a 25% WC in-between treatments. Delaying treatment could be disastrous. Letting it go past a few days and it could be too late.

You can read more about flukes here.

Sounds exactly like what my fish have been doing. Ahh! I will start Prazi pro ASAP. Do any large chain stores sell it? (Walmart, etc?) I live in a small town about an hour from my house is where I usually get my fish supplies but I'd rather get it now than have to drive far later tonight. Please let me know where I can get it so I can make them better :(

Wal-mart wont have it. Try calling the "LFS". If they dont have it, try amazon or www.drsfostersmith.com and i would get the quickest delivery option available.

For all future livestock purchases, make sure you QT to avoid issues like this.

if you are comfortable with FW dips, that is an option to provide TEMPORARY relief for the fish. Do it in a white bucket and if its flukes, you might be able to see it fall off. Not seeing any, does not rule out flukes though.

I just called my pet place and they have something called API that treats flukes. Will this work? I would rather get it started today than wait for shipping

I bought API t.c. Tetracycline will this work? It lists the symptoms

I just looked, i think it is for freshwater?? plus it focus mainly as an anti-bacterial medication.

API has General Cure which would've been better.

I would still go ahead and order some Prazipro. I think every fish keeper should have some prazi in their cabinet and give every incoming fish at least 1 treatment.
