What's wrong with my clown?

I came home tonight to see one of my (tank bred) oscellaris clowns lying on the sandbed and rapidly breathing.

All other fish are fine (no rapid breathing and behaving normally) and my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate (API kits) are zero. tank temp and pH are where they normally are (80.5 degrees and 7.9).

I moved him to the QT tank I have set-up for fish that I am getting tomorrow.

What/how shold I treat my clown?

I would really appreciate ay help!!!

Can you provide some more details? How long have you had it? The fact the clown is tank raised kinda rules out brook but I guess anything is possible. Hopefully the little guy is still swimming today. Do you notice anything on the fish at all? Has the tank ever had crypt?

I have it the fish 2 years. It's slightly smaller than the other clown I have. All m fish go through QT (copper treatment followed by prazi) before going into the DT.

I added broad spectrum antibiotic last night. This morning the breathing may be less rapid but its still opening its mouth when it breathes. It rested on the bottom of the tank, leaning to one side.

This morning I noticed a white patch behind one of the pectoral fins. Its not raised, ust looks like pigment loss.

Thats a tough one. With your QT regiment you should be taking care of everything. Hopefully it will pull out of it.

Could be just his time. If you QT like you state and have had the fish for 2 years....Maybe its just old age. Is the fish still eating?
