whats wrong with my crocea?

i recently bought a 2" crocea clam, i had set it on the bottom of the tank to get used to the lights. when i got it, it opened up right away and was doing great.yesterday it fell over onto its side. now its all shrivled up inside and not looking good. it opens up a little bit, but all the tissue is inside the shell. the foot is not out either. it looks like it is starting to shrink inside the shell.
what can i do to help it? if anything?

i did move it up in the tank about midway. the tank has a 250 mh(14k), with vho's. there is very low flow where the clam is.
thanks

sorry but i dont think there is anything you and do for the clam. when they reach the point that you described they are pretty much gone

so what caused it to do this then. (vague question i know).
i check water quality and everything is good
temp 79(chiller)
calcium 400
kh 7(on the lower side)
ph 8.0
nitrates 0
amonia 0
nitrite 0

dont want to take chance with another one until i get it figured out
