Whats wrong with my Digi?

I recently got a few frags from fellow reefers or orange and green monti digitata. I have other acro frags, pink milli, tri-color pocillopora, orange cap etc... All showing excellent growth and good color except for my digi's Loss of tissue and polyps seem like they come out at night more than during the day. Here are some tank stats.

Alk 9 raising to 11
ph 8.3
Mag 1350
Po4 0
Amm 0
ite 0
ate 0

I thought they were supposed to be one of the easiest corals to keep. I do regular water changes(weekly) and use Red Sea salt. The only thing i can think of is low alk might have been the issue 6-7. I have since corrected with NaHCO3. And possibly in shock still from going from MH(14K) to T5(2X5411K and 1X54super actinic 1X54Pure actinic). Thanks for any help.

is there a reason for raising the Alk to 11....9 sounds perfect if you ask me

6-7 is a very low alk and that can cause problems if thats what you are saying was your alk this low?


did you start them low in the tank?

you check for monti nudi's?

No nudis.
Started them mid tank.
Alk was at 6-7 for about a week.
