What's wrong with my Haitian reef nem?

Have been reading a lot on this site. I found the section I posted in by a web search. I didn't realize quite the organization and incredible amount of information here. I am impressed. I found this very helpful in general...

Still so much to read, but I have been reading all morning off and on, and created more of a profile with my own info, I didn't realize that existed either. I plan to do much better with the care of this nem. I'd been looking for initial info in the wrong spots online, this site is wonderful.

OrionN I read your posts on transplanting zoox, impressive.

I have found out the pH is important, but not in the way I thought, its important to monitor shifts in it that the nems are sensitive to.

Thanks again for the advice and reminder for reading.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but figured I'd add anyway.

In my research, I found that pH and calcium can be low due to increased carbon dioxide in the air being pumped into the water. Makes sense, since we run gas fireplaces in the winter daily. Something I had no idea made a difference. I have added the calcium test to go along with my pH test and found the calcium was at 300 (after switching to the reef salt with extra calcium that I used in refilling after the water change). I am sure it was even lower when I had my nem. I have used limewater to slowly bring the levels up.

With the calcium and pH at around 8.0 and 430 now, the lighting upgraded, the new condy is doing fantastic. It is staying more tan in color with no decrease in tenticles that are long, normal, and healthy.

Seastar and clean up crew all thriving too. Brought a fish into tank without quarantine tank and learned the hard way about ick, but have set up the fish in a mini hospital tank, that I should have had from the start, for 8weeks to starve the parasites and the fish that had it is already clear of nearly all signs of the ick after 3 days with copper. Added cupramine and the coper test to my stock and can't wait for all to run its course and be able to put the clean fish back in the main tank after the qt period. Hoping I have things right from here on out.
