What's wrong with my Joker Frag?

I've had these jokers for about six months. I NEVER had any problems with them until recently. I fragged them a few times, and ever since then only a few polyps are opening. There is a fungus/web developing on them, and some are starting to melt. The other polyps (15 or so) won't open at all.

All of my other zoanthids look fine and haven't had any problems. Along with figuring out what it is, please let me know what would be the best solution to heal them. Thanks! :)

Looks like a fungus, I would do a dip with logul solution to start, I like to also give them a quick scrub with a soft brush while doing it...

Don't have an answer to what it is,but the frag I got from you did the same thing in my tank.I did a extra strong iodine dip, plucked off the worst polyps and placed in high flow.I think I salvaged 2 polyps

I super glue the covers close with glue to seal them in their tomb.

Right, but if the worm is sealed in it's tube... wont it die? and create a small localized ammonia spike or something?

IMO it takes just as much work to remove the worm, as it would to cover it with glue (working with superglue underwater isn't the easiest thing to control ime)... so why not just remove the worm as a whole?

If you don't get the whole base of the worm, it will re-grow its tube. And someone suggested pulling them out with tweezers - better try a pliers! They are pretty tough and I've cut my hand many times trying to pull them off.

it could also be vermetid snails. I have them and they do this sometimes.

\ pretty sure i'm thinking of vermetids

yup, I'm thinking of Vermetid snails.

these tubes are about 1/4" long, about the thickness of a mechanical pencil's graphite ("0.7 mm")
