My tree coral seems like it's dying from the bottom. It has reattached itself on a healthier part of its base. The bottom in the photo is the original LR that it was attached to when I bought it . I've attached a photo. Can anyone help me figure out what's happening? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like a coverage of algea. Try brushing it off with your fingers. is the coral receding? less polyp extension?
Maybe frag it, cut off the botton and run a need and thread through the base. and tie it around a rock, maybe that will help.

all i get is a notepad full of weird symbols and text....
