Whats wrong with my Marroon?

My Marroon's eye has a white ring around it. It looks swollen, and puffy. I noticed that his eye looks a little funny yesterday, but today there is definitely something wrong with it.......
Should I just let it go and see if it gets better or should I start the process to get him out of my tank?
